Do you try to wrangle the family together and take family photos during the summer? Well, I beg, bribe, and sometimes force the entire family to dress, smile and pose for a few minutes every summer. The ultimate goal is to try and capture the season of life we are currently in. Getting the entire family to cooperate is not easy, nor is pleasing everyone with what they need to wear. Today, I am rounding up several family photo ideas that my picky family approved of.

We have been fortunate enough to travel to the beach as a family each summer since we have had kids. There is no secret that I try to take as many pictures as possible to treasure those sweet memories. Family photos are tricky because so many opinions and personalities are involved. To make it even more challenging, to get a good shot, oftentimes they need to be early morning or late evening, cue the whining.

Over the years, I have learned that if I let my girls pick out their outfits, from a selection of my choices of course, they tend to argue a little less. So, I try to narrow the selection ahead of time, give them a few choices from a color scheme I am hoping for, and go from there. Then, I bribe them for a forced smile, for a few minutes.
